Ann Dinwiddie Madden

Ann Dinwiddie Madden’s photographs and mixed media work have been shown at The Ohr O’Keefe museum in Biloxi, MS, The Walter Anderson Museum of Art in Ocean Springs, MS and multiple galleries and photography shows in and around the southeast. She has also created multiple murals in Bay St. Louis, MS and is a curator at the Gail Keenan Art Center in Long Beach, MS where she organizes three group shows annually.  She co-owned and co-directed the Smith & Lens gallery in Bay St. Louis, and co-founded the annual, one night only art show in the woods, Under the Flower Moon in Kiln, MS.

Born and raised in New Orleans, LA, she now splits her time behind the camera between New Orleans and the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Ann charges up through collaboration, experimentation and new landscapes. She enjoys marrying her digital work with analog and finds inspiration in lost family history, cloudy memories, misheard conversation, beauty that’s not too sweet, decay, all the shiny objects and literal road trips.

Her solo show, Origin Stories, is currently exhibiting at Gail Keenan Art Center at Coast Episcopal School in Long Beach, MS. She has upcoming solo shows at The Art Center of Mississippi in Jackson and at Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment in Huntsville, Alabama.

Ann is represented by The Caron Gallery, based in Laurel, MS and Tupelo, MS.
